Here is Holly's sketch....

Now....for the challenge....
Holly used MINIMAL colors on this layout to make the focus on the picture!!! I love that....so your challenge is to use a SOLID background (no pp) and use ONLY 3 other colors but they must be used SPARINGLY!!! Have fun!

Please post a link to your layout(s) in this thread! It(they) must be linked in this thread to count!

All layouts are due on July 28, midnight EST

This is beautiful, Holly. I must tell you that this challenge part is giong to be very hard for me. I detest solid backgrounds! Ha!

I gravitate towards solid backgrounds, but using minimal colors might be tough. I need to find a photo that stands out on its own!

I love white space. Actually I love white cardstock as my base.
I went with the sketch but with a twist (the journaling is under the photo
and not above) and with the challenge using very little of other colors (orange, light blue and brown).

I hate it that I can never get my white background really white (without washing out all the rest of the colors). It always looks a little grayish. Actually here it looks pinkish!! :cry:

I absolutely LOVE white space and WHITE backgrounds too :) I LOVE your style girl! Nice job!

I too like to use white as a background...great job on this one.
